National Park System Long-Term Lease Investment Act

This bill allows the National Park Service (NPS) to extend long-term leases of federal property within the national parks without complying with competitive bidding requirements if

  • the lessee entered into the lease no less than five years before the date on which the extension takes effect and is in compliance with the terms and conditions of the lease, and
  • the NPS determines that extending the lease is in the best interests of the administration of the applicable NPS unit.
