Curt Flood Act of 1998 - Amends the Clayton Act to declare that the antitrust laws apply to the conduct, acts, practices, or agreements (conduct) of persons in the business of organized professional major league baseball relating to or affecting employment of major league baseball players to play baseball at the major league level to the same extent that such laws apply to such conduct of any other professional sports business affecting interstate commerce.

Grants standing to sue under this Act only to a major league baseball player, as defined by this Act.

Specifies that in cases involving conduct that directly relates to or affects both employment of major league baseball players to play baseball at the major league level and any other aspect of organized professional baseball, only those components, portions, or aspects of such conduct that directly relate to or affect employment of major league baseball players to play baseball at the major league level may be challenged under this Act.

Curt Flood Act of 1997 - Amends the Clayton Act to declare that the antitrust laws apply to the conduct, acts, practices, or agreements (conduct) of persons in the business of organized professional major league baseball relating to or affecting employment to play baseball at the major league level to the same extent that such laws apply to such conduct of any other professional sports business affecting interstate commerce.

Specifies that nothing in this Act shall be construed as providing the basis for any negative inference regarding the case law concerning the applicability of the antitrust laws to minor league baseball, nor shall this Act be deemed to change the application of such laws to any other aspect of the business of organized professional baseball, including: (1) the amateur draft, the reserve clause as applied to minor league players, the agreement between organized professional major league baseball teams and teams of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues, the relationship between organized professional major and minor league baseball, or any other matter relating to professional organized baseball's minor leagues; (2) any conduct relating to franchise expansion, location or relocation, franchise ownership issues, including ownership transfers, and the relationship between the Office of the Commissioner and franchise owners; (3) any conduct protected by the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961; or (4) the relationship between persons in the business of organized professional baseball and umpires or other individuals who are employed in the business by such persons.

Curt Flood Act of 1997 - Amends the Clayton Act to make the antitrust laws applicable to the business of professional major league baseball. Provides that nothing in this Act shall be construed to affect: (1) the applicability of the antitrust laws to professional baseball's amateur draft, the minor league reserve clause, the Professional Baseball Agreement (the agreement between professional major league baseball teams and teams of the National Association of Baseball), or any other matter relating to the minor leagues or to any restraint by professional baseball on franchise relocation; or (2) the application of the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961.
