Medicare Vancomycin Home Parenteral Therapy Act of 1996 - Amends title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to provide for Medicare coverage of vancomycin home parenteral therapy for treatment of an infection caused by: (1) beta-lactam-resistant gram-positive microorganisms; or (2) gram-positive microorganisms in the case of a patient with a severe allergy to beta-lactam antimicrobials.
